CASA-NYC Youth Advisory Board
Youth in foster care have rights—but too often, they don’t know them. In a recent CASA-NYC Youth Advisory Board survey, 65% of respondents reported not knowing their rights. This session aims to change that. Through this learning experience, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the Foster Care Bill of Rights and leave with practical tools to better support and advocate for young people.
Presented by panelists with lived experience, they will share a firsthand perspective on the rights young people in care are entitled to and why those rights matter.
This training is for anyone who works with, advocates for, or cares about young people in foster care.
