The Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) is an association of more than 1,100 public and private nonprofit agencies that assist over 3.5 million abused and neglected children and their families each year with a wide range of services. Children's Rights is a national nonprofit organization at the forefront in the fight for the rights of poor children in the custody of child welfare agencies across the country, using policy, public education and the power of the courts. The Community Cradle (formerly known as the Materinal Infant Network of the Capital Region) is part of the 18 Comprehensive Prenatal-Perinatal Services Network in NYS.  Community Cradle works to remove barriers to accessing community and health services needed by infants and women of childbearing age by offering community education and resources, and by facilitating collaboration of consumers, health providers, and human service providers.

Connect for Kids offers valuable information on a broad array of topics impacting children. The features section offers an in-depth look at such issues as foster care, children's mental health, education, the early years, and the teen years.

The Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies (COFCCA) is the principal representative for nearly all the voluntary, not-for-profit organizations providing foster care, adoption, family preservation, and special education services in New York State.

The Families and Advocates Partnership for Education (FAPE) project aims to improve the educational outcomes for children with disabilities, linking families, advocates, and self-advocates to communicate the new focus of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). KidsHealth provides doctor-approved health information about children from before birth through adolescence. The New York State Child Advocacy Resource and Consultation Center (CARRCC) site provides current training and conference information locally and nationally to professionals working with child sexual abuse cases, as well as information on important and newsworthy events and resources. The New York State Citizens' Coalition for Children, guided by a belief in the right of every child to a permanent loving family, is an organization of concerned citizens and 150 volunteer adoptive and foster parent groups in every region of New York State.

The New York State Interest on Lawyer Account Fund ("IOLA") helps the poorest and most vulnerable people in New York State to obtain help with legal problems affecting their most basic needs, such as food, shelter, jobs and access to health care.

The North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) is committed to meeting the needs of waiting children and the families who adopt them. To achieve this mission, NACAC focuses its program services in four areas: public policy advocacy, parent leadership capacity building, education and information sharing, and adoption support.

Perspectives on Youth is a site which encourages contributions in a number of areas from professionals and those working with youth. Pages that are particularly valuable are the one on legislation, one listing national resource centers and another giving toll-free resource numbers. The Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care has been established to develop recommendations to improve outcomes for children in the foster care system. Of primary importance are expediting the movement of such children from foster care into safe, permanent, nurturing families, and preventing unnecessary placements in foster care.

The Research Forum at the National Center for Children in Poverty has encouraged research, collaboration, and exchange of information among key stakeholders, such as researchers, funders, policymakers, state and local administrators, practitioners and advocates. The Forum focuses on research related to child and family well-being and community initiatives. The ultimate goal of the Forum has been to identify and promote strategies that protect and enhance the well-being of low-income children and their families.
