Top Story --  Message from the Executive Director

    pennycropFRIENDS MAKE EVENTS HAPPEN
We are planning our first point of entry event based on the Benevon Model that was created by Terry Axelrod.  Because we have no money, staff, or time to devote to this much needed revenue generator, we are looking to volunteers to help out.

Who Are They?   Unlike Advocates, they are people who are asked to come on board specifically for fundraising.  They can be Advocates, but they also can be folks who believe in what we do, but cannot commit to the time it takes to be an Advocate.

What Will They Do?  They can design invitations/programs, solicit auction items, plan menus, and most of all—invite their friends.  These are connections to corporations and businesses that have not been on your radar!

Viral Marketing—If you have little or no money in your budget for events, these volunteers can market through Social Media--Facebook, LinkedIn,  and any other blogs, or WIKIs they use.

Where Do I Find Them?  Anywhere and everywhere!  Every time you sit down at an event be sure to talk about the great volunteer group you have.  Ask for their cards and follow up the next day.

If you have a success story about your volunteer group please let us know and we will share.  Contact Penny Page, Executive Director, CASANYS at page@casanys.org or 518-426-5354.
